Hi, I'm Marvin Vaca.
I founded GovProposals after experiencing firsthand how confusing and overwhelming government contracting can be for small businesses.
Like many business owners, my journey started with a simple question:
"How do I even get started?"
The first challenge was understanding SAM.gov registration. While registration itself is free, the process can be time-consuming, filled with unfamiliar terminology, and easy to get wrong if you are not used to government systems.
I remember thinking about how many qualified businesses likely give up somewhere along the way — not because they lack the skills or capabilities, but because the administrative burden becomes too much.
But I also learned that registration is only the beginning.
Through my own experience in government contracting, I saw that every opportunity is different. Every agency has unique requirements. Proposal formatting matters. Technical approaches matter. Compliance matters. Understanding what evaluators are asking for matters just as much as the work itself.
